Elks Plan To Start Monument To Hurst A Committee of Five is Appointed to Raise Funds and Get Movement Started
At the regular meeting of the Elks club Wednesday night, the club voted to undertake the raising of a sum of money to be used in the erecting of a memorial to Raymond T. Hurst who died on the Tuscania. The committee will take the lead in the matter and expect to co-operate with any other individuals in the county who may wish to contribute to the fund.
The committee expects to get busy at once on the raising of a fund. The following are members of the committee: Dr. L. E. Emanuel, James Flatau, J. W. Kayser, William Reinheimer and George Evans.
Two new members were initiated into the order Thursday night, young Alcar of Bradley and R. D. Cox.
