Raymond T. Hurst

Grady county has given one of the best of her blood in this world war. Raymond T. Hurst of Pocasset sleeps on a rugged cliff in Scotland wrapped in the flag of his country. He gave his life at the call of his country. He didn't have a chance on the battle field, the cold waves of the Atlantic took his life from him, but his death will be an inspiration to his comrades and to those left behind. Raymond T. Hurst was of the type of young men that America delights to produce. Clean Manley and strong he was the incarnation of Manley virtue. To his bowed mother and father the sympathy of all Grady county goes out in this time of their deepest sorrow. Nothing can take the place of the boy they lost, but the God of nations comfort and uphold them in the knowledge that their son died a hero.
