NOTE: The U.S. Army was unable to notify the next of kin to inform them that Antonio was killed in action. Sam Arditto, the owner of the home in which Antonio had lived prior to entering the service was notified of Antonio's death. The Arditto family had no knowledge of any living relatives. Looking at the passenger list, Antonio came to America on his own, if he had any living relatives, he left them behind in Genoa, Italy.
