My grandfather was on the Tuscania when she was sunk. He was in quarantine for having the measles or the mumps. He was also a member of the Oregon Agriculture College. William Douglas Pine was his name. He too wrote an account of what happened to him and I still have a copy. It is nice to have a bit of history first hand.
