6th Battalion, 20th Engineers, Co. E  (17th Co.)

My cousin (first cousin once removed) Charles Gordon Bennett told me about his own experiences on the Tuscania. As I remember he mentioned having to splice a line on the last lifeboat to leave the Tuscania. He visited my family in Green Bay when returning to Niagara, Wisconsin, from a survivors' reunion in Milwaukee. Quite surprised and pleased to find your web site. Sincerely,

My grandfather, Charles Gordon Bennett was on the SS Tuscania and I was just checking out his site and also his memorial site at findagrave.com I was never told a lot about him since I was 23 months old when he passed away. It is nice to know a little about him now.
